Enjoy more time in Mikumi National Park with this relaxed two-day safari from Zanzibar. Compared with a one-day trip, the overnight itinerary allows additional game-drive time and a slower safari pace. Fly from Zanzibar to the Mikumi area, meet your safari guide and explore the park’s open plains, woodland and wildlife habitats in search of elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, antelopes, hippos, lions and birdlife. After an overnight stay near the park, return for another game drive the following morning before flying back to Zanzibar.
Begin with an early hotel pickup in Zanzibar and fly to the Mikumi safari area. Meet your private driver-guide and enter Mikumi National Park for an extended game drive through the Mkata plains and surrounding woodland. Search for elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, antelopes, hippos and predators. Enjoy lunch and continue wildlife viewing in the afternoon before transferring to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.
