Fly from Zanzibar to mainland Tanzania for a full-day wildlife experience in Mikumi National Park. This shared safari is designed for travelers who want to experience an authentic African game drive without adding an overnight stay to their Zanzibar holiday. After an early transfer to the airport, you will fly to the Mikumi area, meet the safari team and continue into the park for game viewing across open grasslands, woodland and seasonal water areas. Mikumi is known for elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, antelopes, hippos and a wide variety of birdlife, with lions also regularly encountered. A safari lunch is included before the afternoon game drive continues. At the end of the experience you will return to the airstrip for your flight back to Zanzibar and transfer to your hotel.
Your day begins with an early hotel pickup in Zanzibar and transfer to the airport for the flight to the Mikumi safari area. On arrival, meet your professional safari guide and begin a game drive through Mikumi National Park. Explore the open Mkata plains, woodland areas and wildlife habitats while searching for elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, antelopes, hippos, lions and other species. Stop for a safari lunch before continuing with afternoon game viewing. Later, return to the airstrip for the flight back to Zanzibar, followed by transfer to your hotel.
